Click here for cell phone video of Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Wright arrests

So, here's the first piece of evidence we've seen, and we're still waiting for police dashboard cams of the pre-arrest. Let us know what you think.

In a journalistic sense, a video like this is very interesting to us -- the newspaper and all news consumers -- because it offers us a window into news as it unfolds. It's a piece of community journalism at its rawest and most interesting, and it raises a lot of questions. How did the events at Stray Cat get to this point? Obviously, why the pepper spray? Why the Taser? How are Brolin and Wright interfering with police? What aren't we seeing, either during, before or after the video? Does what we see follow standard police procedure? And since these were all misdemeanors, why did we have to wait nearly five months to see such evidence? Are we, as a newspaper, right to draw your attention to it? (Same goes for TMZ and the person who recorded the video.) Now that you've watched this video, what more do you need to know? Let us know what you think.

josh Brolin really it appears did not do anything to get arrested ! The Rest of the group may be different But Josh Brolin may be right from his prospective.... and i will say this from the 1st news reports i was expecting to see jeffery wright going wild yelling screaming crazy he did not appear that way however i grant you cell phone was not on him the entire time so who knows what really caused him to get tased....

It looks pretty shameful to me on the part of local law enforcement, but I wasn't there. The video starts at kind of an arbitrary place, as well. But since the local cops have a history of abuse of power, I can only deduce that this is one more example.

This is how Mayor Glover thinks the Shreveport police acted exemplary? Glover should be taken out of office if we want to clean up Shreveport. Otherwise we are the laughing stock of the nation. The whole world now sees Shreveport as a place that is hostile and violent. Why do we continue to put up with Glover and Whitehorn? Why doesn't our city council hold Mayor Glover responsible for covering up police brutality time and time again?
And why was a black man maced and tasered????

I'M SHOCKED THAT MAYOR GLOVER LIED TO THE CITY COUNCIL ABOUT HOW THE POLICE ACTED HONORABLY. NOW THE PUBLIC KNOWS WHAT REALLY GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENES WITH THE POLICE. I DON'T BELIEVE THE POLICE ACT IN A WAY THAT JUSTIFIES A PAY RAISE. A REWARD IN PAY WILL ONLY WORSEN THE PROBLEM. WE NEED A NEW MAYOR, POLICE CHIEF AND CITY COUNCIL FOR THE NEW YEAR! AND ALL POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD UNDERGO ANGER MANAGEMENT COUNSELING AND DRUG TESTING MONTHLY.

And what's really annoying is that the 80 million dollar budgeted movie Jonah Hex starring Josh Brolin considered shooting here but switched to New Orleans. I wonder why?
