Movie Trailer: 'The Road'

The only reason I post this trailer for "The Road" is that the world's biggest fan of Cormac McCarthy lives in The Shreve. To be released Oct. 16. Merry pre-Christmas.

Looks to me like they're going for the "Children of Men" aesthetic.

Incidentally, what's your favorite apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic story? Mine aren't films (yet): Mary Shelley's "The Last Man" and Paul Auster's "In the Country of Last Things."

Shot for a couple of days in Louisiana, according to the state film office.

Testament is my favorite post-apocalyptic film

Is no one else interested in this movie? I'll be first in line though I get a little put off by Viggo as anyone but Aragorn. Hopefully he can break through that mold.

I'm very interested in this film. I've always liked post-apocalyptic movies - like The Mad Max trilogy or Children of Men.

This one in particular, I have been following for quite some time. It seems rather timely, since civilization seems like it could teeter over the edge at anytime - what with the world economy crashing and pandemics popping up here, there, and yonder.

As for Viggo breaking free of the Aragorn cast, I was a huge fan long before LOTR. You need to look up his poetry! It's disturbing, a little (no, a lot) self-indulgent, and very Viggo!
