'Forever' dialogue was a goodie

About 20 people showed tonight at the Robinson Film Center for the first edition of our monthly dialogue series. Pictured (from left to right in artful blur) are Scarlett Hendricks, Steve Roell and me. We chatted about "Forever," a documentary by Dutch filmmaker Heddy Honigmann, and their interests in cemeteries and roadside memorials. For me, it's simply great to be a part of a crowd that is passionate about understanding what they see. Thank you to everyone for coming out and extending a Sunday night.

"In Memoriam," an exhibition of the work of Hendricks and Roell, opens Thursday at artspace.

Happy to see it went well.

Drats! I wanted to be there. But it's Mother's Day. I was busy celebrating the one who let me swim in her birth canal and then the one who swam in mine demanded a bit of my time.

What's up with the RFC's outdated website? They need to get their blog on and there'd be no behind the schedule stuff.

I believe they are birthing their new website this week.

When is the next screening/Q&A that you will lead at the RFC?

We're thinking the first week of June, but we have to nail down the guest. We'll let you know ASAP.

Hey Kathryn,

We're working as hard as we can to get the new RFC website up as soon as possible. We'd hoped to have it up during the first week of May, but things didn't pan out that way. The new site is looking very awesome, though, I can't wait to share it.

Alex,

I'd love to join in on one of the discussions. If you have room for me, let me know!
